Campaign Plan

Amending the Constitution is not a simple or easy process.  The Founders were wise to provide for amendment, and wiser still to make it require real effort to accomplish.  Especially when the initiative comes not from the political class, but from Citizens; an accomplishment that will require millions of us.

Therefore, we propose to start by simply collecting the names, and relevant data, of those who support the proposed 28th Amendment.  As the number of those increase, we will begin to advise our representatives at Congress of that expressed conviction by their constituents, and proceed toward the first goal of having the amendment proposed and passed by Congress for submission to the States.  The following effort will be to advise our representatives at the State Legislatures of that same expressed conviction of their constituents, and see the amendment ratified by at least the necessary three quarters of the States.

Of course, during all that time we will be doing our uttermost to ask all and sundry:

Are you for the 28th?

What do we ask of you?  That upon your consideration and decision to support the 28th Amendment:

  1. Sign up via the Support Page.
  2. Ask your family, friends, and acquaintances, “Are you for the 28th?”
  3. If you are inclined, and can afford it, purchase the Campaign Correspondence.

What do we promise you?

  1. To conduct the campaign with integrity, dignity, and resolve.
  2. That your name and data are private, and will never be sold or shared with any other organization, operation, commercial venture or concern.
  3. To keep you advised of the campaign’s progress.
  4. That we will not drown you in useless and annoying contacts.

The American republic is approaching its 250th anniversary.  The fate of nations are rarely decided in a single day.  Their growth or decline are traced through the events of numerous days that build upon each other.  America’s History records the ability to successfully address issues as they have arisen. The issue of our day, as it was at our founding, is the abuse of Power.  The address of which is made available to us in that element of the Founder’s genius:  The Constitutional provision for amendment.
